What is Gusseted expanding envelope?
Gusseted expanding envelope is a folding carton with a glued side seam, closing at each end with a tuck, a lock or a glued flap. An envelope with a gusset folded into the sides and base so it expands to hold a thick wad of documents rather than splitting. The one that survives a full set of drawings.

Folding boxboard or solid bleached board, typically 250–450 microns. Heavier board for larger cartons, lighter where the carton is filled by machine.
