FEFCO 0880 Box Template Generator
Double-thickness header card. Two identical riser-card panels hinged along one edge so the header folds back on itself to double thickness. No box: a single crease and a flat card. Each half carries its own pair of feet, standing proud of the free edge, for slotting into a base or a display tray.
Checked against the plate. This blank has been compared side by side with the drawing in the FEFCO Code, 12th Edition, and matches. That is a statement about the drawing, not a guarantee — always cut and fold a sample before committing to a die.
What is FEFCO 0880?
FEFCO 0880 is a standard board construction. Two identical riser-card panels hinged along one edge so the header folds back on itself to double thickness. No box: a single crease and a flat card. Each half carries its own pair of feet, standing proud of the free edge, for slotting into a base or a display tray.
Uses
- Retail and gift packaging, where the box is seen by the customer
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
Disadvantages
- No standard style suits every product; check the fit against a sample before committing to a tool
Typical industries
- Retail display
Recommended board grades
Folding boxboard or solid bleached board, typically 250–450 microns. Heavier board for larger cartons, lighter where the carton is filled by machine.

Measured against the FEFCO p120 plate with scripts/plate-diff.py. MATCH at 1.000 (cut 1.000/1.000, crease 1.000/1.000, silhouette 1.000), up from 0.462, and the fit lands at D=125 against the 127 the plate measures — nothing of either drawing is left unmatched in either direction. What was missing was the relief notch where the side edges meet the fold. It cost far more than its own ink: the fit picks proportions on the crease evidence alone, so a card creased edge to edge bought itself a shorter crease by growing taller, missed the plate's aspect by four per cent, and then missed both long side edges as well.
