FEFCO 0608 Box Template Generator

What is FEFCO 0608?
FEFCO 0608 is assembled from more than one part and delivered made-up rather than flat, so they hold their shape before being filled. A plain four-panel body that starts at the lid — lid, wall, base, wall — with the glue lap under the lid, and two flanged end panels fixed inside the tube.
Uses
- Jobs where the depth or the fit has to be adjusted after packing
- High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement
Advantages
- Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
Disadvantages
- Needs 3 separate pieces, so there is more than one tool and more than one part to handle
- The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical
- Delivered made-up rather than flat, so it costs more to store and to ship empty

NO DRAWING FAULT FOUND — kept unbadged on the shared-pattern rule alone, which is a different thing from the earlier note here, and that note was wrong to imply otherwise. The scores that prompted it are real: ours against p83's 0608 is 0.974 and against p83's 0607 is 1.000, and 0607's own blank scores the same pair the other way round. But a score comparison is not the evidence that decides whether a drawing is right. scripts/missmap.py reports ZERO cells of p83's 0608 ink we fail to cover and ZERO cells of ours the plate has nothing under, with cut 1/1 and crease 1/1 — every stroke agrees in both directions at the 256-cell raster. The whole 0.026 sits in the silhouette term, and shape-fit.mts documents why that term can say this: it measures edge position ALONG the profile axis, so an edge at angle t turns a perpendicular difference d into d/sin t, and this blank carries eight 45 degree flange miters, each amplifying by 1.41. Its own docstring names the case — TRI-TCK at sil 0.848 and PYR-SQ at 0.838, both with empty miss maps — and concludes that the miss map is the thing to believe. 0608 is the same shape of finding at a milder magnitude. TWO EARLIER EXPLANATIONS ARE NOW RULED OUT rather than left open. The chamfer is not it: the previous note read p83's corner as a 9.87 cut against a much larger one of ours, but that reads a single segment and ignores the three nick segments chained to it, which peek.py's own docstring warns the plates cap every cut with. Measured corner to corner the plate's cut spans 0.038 in x, exactly one full flange depth, which is what rigid.ts:271 draws. The crease ratio is not it either: crease 1/1 with an empty miss map leaves no crease anywhere to be misplaced. What remains is the fit aliasing a W-first strip onto an H-first one, which is precisely what the shared-fold-pattern rule exists to refuse to certify. So the badge stays off, for the reason the rule gives and not for a fault in the drawing.
