What is FEFCO 0511?

FEFCO 0511 is made from more than one piece, with an inner tray or frame sliding inside an outer sleeve. An outer wrap round three sides, tabbed at both free ends and flanged inward top and bottom, over a plain glued end sleeve. The flanges stop the inner sleeve sliding straight out.

Uses

Jobs where the depth or the fit has to be adjusted after packing
High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement

Advantages

Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
The two parts can be made from different boards, or printed differently

Disadvantages

Needs 2 separate pieces, so there is more than one tool and more than one part to handle
The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical

Single wall E or B flute, or solid board for the smaller sizes. Both pieces are usually the same board so the slide fit stays predictable.
