FEFCO 0310 Box Template Generator

Telescope box, glued corners. A plain glued body sleeve with a shallow cap dropped over each end. Read off the p35 plate: the page draws a body strip (H, then L, W, L, W, with no flap boxes on it at all) and a SEPARATE small square icon marked "x2" for the cap — flush with the base on its left and right edges (no side wall at all there) with a shallow flap on the front and back only, each stopping short of the corners rather than meeting a tab. That is a three-piece sleeve-and-two-caps construction, not a tray telescoping into an oversized lid.

What is FEFCO 0310?

Advantages

Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
The two parts can be made from different boards, or printed differently

Disadvantages

Needs 3 separate pieces, so there is more than one tool and more than one part to handle
The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical

Single wall B or C flute is usual. The lid and body are often the same board; a heavier body under a lighter lid is worth considering where only the body carries the stack.
