What is Buffer wall tray?

Buffer wall tray is a folding tray, erected from a flat blank by hand or on a former. A tray whose side walls fold back on themselves to form a cushioning buffer between the contents and the outside. The double wall absorbs knocks that a single sheet would pass straight through.

Scores 0.904 against p37 (a MATCH). The note that stood here said 0.833 and blamed the plate tapering each ply into the next on a diagonal "and this steps it square" — that was true of an older build and is not true of this one. Read off p37 and our blank at the same fit (D=39 W=319), the four-part section corresponds edge for edge, both transitions slanted in each: plate tab 0.299->0.286, inner vertical 0.286, band 0.286->0.245, wall vertical 0.245; ours tab 0.314->0.301, inner vertical 0.301, band 0.301->0.258, wall vertical 0.258. The trapezoids the rebuild note below describes are being drawn. What is actually left is smaller and sits at the corner tab: p37 holds its TOP edge horizontal at y 0.152 and slants the LEFT edge slightly, 0.164 to 0.177, where we hold the left edge vertical at 0.191 and slant the top instead, and our tab is deeper — 0.070 of the blank against 0.054. That is where missmap.py puts the 136 missed and 72 extra cells, four-fold symmetric, one cluster per corner. NOT changed on that reading alone, and it has since been TESTED AND REJECTED. cornerLapDepth was swept against the plate at 0.79, 0.72, 0.66, 0.61, 0.55 and 0.50: the score holds at 0.904 down to 0.66 and then falls away — 0.896, 0.875, 0.860 — and the silhouette is best of all at the current 0.79 (0.938, against 0.928 and 0.910 below it). Making the tab shallower makes it worse. The cap is cutFound at 0.904 and it does not move at any depth, so whatever the remaining 136 missed cells are, tab depth is not it. Left at 0.79 on the measurement rather than on the earlier guess that ours was too deep.
