What is Webbed tuck carton?

Webbed tuck carton is a folding carton with a glued side seam, closing at each end with a tuck, a lock or a glued flap. The dust flaps run the full depth of the lid and stay joined to it, folding as webs at the corners. Nothing is cut at the corner, so the closure is dust-tight and squares itself as it shuts.

Uses

Retail and gift packaging, where the box is seen by the customer

Advantages

Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step

Disadvantages

Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure
