Snap-lock bottom, tuck to front is a folding carton with a glued side seam, closing at each end with a tuck, a lock or a glued flap. Hand-locked base with the top tuck folding from the front panel. No glue anywhere and it ships completely flat.

Uses

High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement

Advantages

Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine

Disadvantages

The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical

ECMA 2022 code moved here from SNAP, on the same reading of the p.27 plate: the tongue fold sits over panel 3 and the lid hinge starts at panel 2. The base is a separate question and is NOT claimed to match — p.27 draws a full-width hooked tongue dropping into a slot cut in the opposite panel, where this template draws two sheared trapezoids with the hook on the leading edge.
