What is Hook-locked channel wrap?
Hook-locked channel wrap is a rigid or lined folding carton. A long U-shaped channel wrapped under a row of product, with three hook locks along each base fold. Open along the top and at both ends.
Uses
- General packing where a simple, economical board box is wanted
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step
Disadvantages
- Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure

Recommended board grades
Folding boxboard or solid bleached board, typically 250–450 microns. Heavier board for larger cartons, lighter where the carton is filled by machine.

Scored against the ECMA 2022 plate on page 59 with scripts/plate-diff.py: 0.985, MATCH (cut found 0.985, no cut of ours the plate lacks, creases 1.00 both ways). The 1.5 per cent of the plate cut not reproduced is its own B dimension arrow, drawn solid and so read as cut — 17 units of ink out of 533 that no die can contain.
