Edge lock skillet, snap lock base is a folding carton with a glued side seam, closing at each end with a tuck, a lock or a glued flap. A glued-flap skillet top over a hand-locked base: four square flaps close the top, and the base interlocks by hand with no glue anywhere.
Uses
- High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement

ECMA 2022 code newly claimed. The p.26 plate closes the top with the book's plain "10" band — four square flaps, each the carton's own depth, three vertical cuts and one edge — and 10/55 in the code says exactly that. This template used to draw a tuck top plus a short bare line on the wall standing in for a lock; the plate cuts no lock, so it now draws the band. The base is now drawn as p.26 draws it — panel 1 a tapered tab, panel 3 notched, the two side panels hooked into that notch, all at the depths recorded in snapLockBottom — and the whole blank scores 0.959 against this plate, up from 0.761 when the base was a hooked crash lock.
