Uses

- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step
- Cut from offcuts or lighter board than the outer case, so it adds little cost

- Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure

Folding boxboard or solid bleached board, typically 250–450 microns. Heavier board for larger cartons, lighter where the carton is filled by machine.

Measured against the p.68 plate with scripts/plate-diff.py: score 0.984, MATCH, cut 1.000 found / 0.985 extra, crease 1.000 / 0.996. This plate is what fixes the panel order for all three F10.1x codes: a tuck lid on panels 2 and 5, a dust flap either side of each, and panel 7 bare at both ends is only symmetric if panel 1 is the partition and the two lids are the two cells' lids. Top dust flaps are half the lid depth, bottom flaps three quarters of it and tapered 0.2 of it away from the closure panel.
