Hinged clamshell, two flared trays Box Template Generator

Hinged clamshell, two flared trays. Two identical trays cut as one blank and hinged wall to wall, so the second folds over on the first as a lid. Every wall flares outward by a quarter of its depth, and the corner webs are creased to the long walls and cut free of the short ones so they tuck behind as the tray is squared up.

Checked against the plate. This blank has been compared side by side with the drawing in the FEFCO Code, 12th Edition, and matches. That is a statement about the drawing, not a guarantee — always cut and fold a sample before committing to a die.

Measured against the p.75 plate with scripts/plate-diff.py: score 1.000, MATCH, cut 1.000 found / 1.000 extra, crease 1.000 / 1.000. Two identical trays 65.25 apart on a 130.50 by 65.25 sheet, each a base 42.56 by 42.55 with an 11.35 wall on all four sides flaring 2.84 — a quarter of the wall depth — at every end. The corner webs are creased to the long walls and cut free of the short ones, the same hand at all eight corners. Drawn with the webs touching the end walls, as the plate draws them, the engine read the eight shared edges as creases and the score fell to 0.874 (crease 0.987 found / 0.887 extra); parting them by a hair fixed it.
