Hinged-lid carton with wing side walls Box Template Generator

Hinged-lid carton with wing side walls. A one-piece carton wrapped the short way: front, base, back, shoulder, lid, lid flange and tuck in one run, closed at each side by a flap off the back and off the shoulder, each carrying a square wing that makes up the rest of the side wall.

Checked against the plate. This blank has been compared side by side with the drawing in the FEFCO Code, 12th Edition, and matches. That is a statement about the drawing, not a guarantee — always cut and fold a sample before committing to a die.

Measured against the p.78 plate with scripts/plate-diff.py: score 1.000, MATCH, cut 1.000 found / 1.000 extra, crease 1.000 / 1.000, and the fit landed on the drawn proportions exactly. Seven panels 31.38, 14.26, 34.23, 7.13, 14.26, 11.41, 10.70 over a body 28.53 tall; the plate measures A = 28.53 down the body, B = 14.26 across the second panel and H = 41.36 across panels three and four TOGETHER, and every width then falls out as H-0.7B, B, H-B/2, B/2, B, 0.8B, 0.75B. Flaps B deep on panels 1, 3, 4 and 6 only; panels 2 and 5 are covered instead by square B-by-B wings hinged on the flaps beside them. Those wings first scored 0.903 because they were drawn touching the body line, which the engine reads as a shared edge and creases; the plate cuts there, so they are held off by a hair.
