Checked against the plate. This blank has been compared side by side with the drawing in the FEFCO Code, 12th Edition, and matches. That is a statement about the drawing, not a guarantee — always cut and fold a sample before committing to a die.
What is Two-panel folder with tongue and slot?
Two-panel folder with tongue and slot is a carton insert or fitment. A folder whose first panel is creased on all four sides and closed by a tapered tongue that passes through a slot pierced in the folded-over leaf.
Uses
- General packing where a simple, economical board box is wanted
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
Disadvantages
- No standard style suits every product; check the fit against a sample before committing to a tool
Typical industries
- General packing and light manufacturing
Recommended board grades
Folding boxboard or solid bleached board, typically 250–450 microns. Heavier board for larger cartons, lighter where the carton is filled by machine.

Measured against the p.80 plate with scripts/plate-diff.py: score 1.000, MATCH, cut 1.000 found / 1.000 extra, crease 1.000 / 1.000. Panel 52.20 by 41.76 creased on ALL FOUR sides, flaps 0.15A deep chamfered 0.15A at 45 degrees, a tongue 0.5A long tapering 0.3A out and 0.1A down to a 0.1A shoulder and radiused 0.1A at both outer corners, and a stadium slot 0.05A by B/2 pierced in the leaf at 0.75A to 0.80A across it. This read 0.921 until the flaps were written out by hand: taperedRect clamps its taper to half the flap depth, and here the chamfer IS the flap depth, so the drawn chamfer was half the plate's and the silhouette carried the error.
