Book-fold box, tray and lid in one blank Box Template Generator

Book-fold box, tray and lid in one blank. Two mitre-cornered trays of the same size hinged side by side, so the second folds over the first as a lid. The tray keeps a return flange on three sides; the lid carries a tab that wraps round to it, and a finger pull cut across its outer rim.

Checked against the plate. This blank has been compared side by side with the drawing in the FEFCO Code, 12th Edition, and matches. That is a statement about the drawing, not a guarantee — always cut and fold a sample before committing to a die.

Measured against the p.81 plate with scripts/plate-diff.py: score 0.999, MATCH, cut 1.000 found / 1.000 extra, crease 1.000 / 1.000, and the fit landed on the drawn proportions exactly. Tray outer B = 55.91 by A = 37.28 with a 5.59 rim — a tenth of B — the lid the same rectangle beside it, all eight rim corners mitred at 45 degrees and every mitre a FOLD. Return flanges on three sides of the tray only, 5.59 deep top and bottom and 9.32 wide on the left, each raked 1.86 = rim/3; a tab 9.32 by 11.18 hinged on the middle of the lid's outer edge; a stadium slot 1.49 by 7.09 in the left flange and another in the tab, both on the centre line. WHAT THE PLATE DOES NOT DRAW: a fold line between the lid's floor and its outer rim, though it draws both mitres that meet it and every other wall line on the blank. Reproduced as drawn — that floor and rim are one panel here, which is the only way to keep the line out of the exported file. Twenty creases drawn, twenty derived. The finger pull across the lid's rim is cut on three sides only, as the plate has it, so it is a stroke rather than a panel.
