Fold-in top, tuck base is a folding carton with a glued side seam, closing at each end with a tuck, a lock or a glued flap. The reverse arrangement: a plain fold-in lid over a tucked base. Leaves the top face clean for a label or a seal.

Uses

Advantages

Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step

Disadvantages

Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure
