Euro hang tab, open base is a folding carton with a glued side seam, closing at each end with a tuck, a lock or a glued flap. A glued tube whose front panel carries on above the box, folds back on itself and stands up as a doubled hang tab punched for a euro peg. The rest of the top closes with overlapping flaps; the base is left open to drop over a tray or a base unit.

ECMA 2022 code newly claimed. Closure 15 is named on p.17 of the book itself — "full overlapping closure system with extended back panel" — and the p.19 plate draws exactly that over the third panel from the glue seam: that panel runs on past the wall for two equal plies with a fold between them and a euro hang hole in each, placed so the two register when the tab is folded back on itself, while the panel opposite takes one flap the full carton depth and the two side panels take a square flap each. The base is 01, no flaps at all, and the plate cuts straight across. Our tab tongue is drawn at 0.417 of the ply, which is what four of the six type-15 plates draw; this one draws 0.333.
