Reduced flap base, tuck top. A light glued base under a reclosable tuck top. The base uses one deep flap and three short ones, which is enough for anything that is not carried by its bottom.

What is Reduced flap base, tuck top?
Reduced flap base, tuck top is a folding carton with a glued side seam, closing at each end with a tuck, a lock or a glued flap. A light glued base under a reclosable tuck top. The base uses one deep flap and three short ones, which is enough for anything that is not carried by its bottom.
Uses
- Retail and gift packaging, where the box is seen by the customer
- High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
Disadvantages
- The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical

Folding boxboard or solid bleached board, typically 250–450 microns. Heavier board for larger cartons, lighter where the carton is filled by machine.

ECMA 2022 code newly claimed. The p.23 plate closes the base with the reduced "11" band, one full-depth flap over the third panel from the glue seam and three at half, and hangs a tuck lid over that same third panel on top. 11 for the base, 20 for the top. Sits at 0.890 (cut 0.910/0.959, crease 1.000/1.000, sil 0.890) where REDUCED-2, REDUCED-TB and REDUCED-SNAP reach 0.998, 0.949 and 0.956 off the same builder, so the reduced-base construction is not what is wrong with it. scripts/missmap.py puts every disagreeing cell in one band at one end of the blank, with misses and extras in the SAME cells — the feature is drawn, and drawn in the wrong place, rather than absent. The default L was suspected and ruled out: held at 80 it scores 0.890, and at 60, 70, 90, 100 and 110 it scores 0.665, 0.690, 0.715, 0.665 and 0.636, with the two siblings falling the same way, so 80 is right and the fitter holding L at its default is not the cap. Whatever is left is local to this code and worth about 0.06.
