Triangular carton, tuck ends is a sleeve, wrap or slide carton. The three-sided tube closed by a single triangular lid at each end, folded down from the base wall with a strip either side that tucks inside the two sloping walls. Closes by hand, with no glue at the ends.
Uses
- Retail and gift packaging, where the box is seen by the customer
- High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
Disadvantages
- The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical

Recommended board grades
Folding boxboard or solid bleached board, typically 250–450 microns. Heavier board for larger cartons, lighter where the carton is filled by machine.

Measured against the ECMA 2022 p.48 plate with scripts/plate-diff.py. The same three-panel stack as C10.10.10.10 (bands 41.00 / 30.75 / 30.74 on a 76.87 length, glue lap 7.69) but each end closes with ONE triangular panel hinged off the base wall, carrying a 7.68 tuck strip down each of its two free edges; the other two walls are cut square at both ends. CHECK at 0.848 (cut 1.000/1.000, crease 1.000/1.000) — the outline and the folds both land on the plate, and the 0.848 is the silhouette test alone, which is where the plate's rounded strip corners part company with the chamfers drawn here. Not promoted to verified.
