Tuck to front, open base is a folding carton with a glued side seam, closing at each end with a tuck, a lock or a glued flap. Closes at one end only, with the tuck folding from the front panel. Drops over a product standing on a base or a tray.

Uses

Retail and gift packaging, where the box is seen by the customer

Advantages

Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step

Disadvantages

Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure
