What is FEFCO 0900?

FEFCO 0900 is a part that goes inside another box — a partition, pad, liner or corner piece — rather than a container in its own right. A narrow strip running the width of the case, laid across the contents as a spacer rather than covering the whole floor. Two of them, one above and one below, take the load off a fragile layer without the board cost of a full pad.

Advantages

Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
Cut from offcuts or lighter board than the outer case, so it adds little cost

Disadvantages

No standard style suits every product; check the fit against a sample before committing to a tool
