FEFCO 0934 Box Template Generator
Interlocking partition set, cells against the walls. The same interlocking grid with one extra crossing tucked in at each end, so the outermost partitions stand hard against the walls of the case and the row of cells along each wall is narrower than the ones inside. The arrangement used for bottles, jars and glassware.
Not yet plate-checked. This template folds, closes and exports cleanly, but its blank has not yet been matched against the standard's own drawing in detail. Treat it as a starting point and check it before you spend anything.
What is FEFCO 0934?
FEFCO 0934 is a part that goes inside another box — a partition, pad, liner or corner piece — rather than a container in its own right. The same interlocking grid with one extra crossing tucked in at each end, so the outermost partitions stand hard against the walls of the case and the row of cells along each wall is narrower than the ones inside. The arrangement used for bottles, jars and glassware.
Uses
- Transit and e-commerce packing, where the box is handled by a carrier
- Protecting or separating goods inside a larger case
- Jobs where the depth or the fit has to be adjusted after packing
Advantages
- Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step
- Cut from offcuts or lighter board than the outer case, so it adds little cost
Disadvantages
- Needs 8 separate pieces, so there is more than one tool and more than one part to handle
- Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure
Typical industries
- Drinks and bottled goods
Recommended board grades
Single wall B or C flute for partitions and pads. Where the fitment carries the load rather than the outer case, match or exceed the outer box’s board.

Measured against p133 with scripts/plate-diff.py. AT THE CELL COUNT THE PLATE DRAWS — cols 4, rows 2, which is what the defaults here are — it scores 0.93 with cut 0.930 found / 1.000 extra, crease 1.000 / 1.000, silhouette 0.990. cutExtra of exactly 1.000 is the part that matters: every stroke this template draws is on the plate. The 0.070 of plate ink not covered is ONE segment, and it is not in the drawing. Rendering p133 shows 0934's W strip as a plain rectangle with three slots cut from the bottom edge and no diagonal anywhere, but the extracted reference carries a 77.9-long diagonal from (0.111,0.500) to (1.000,1.000) — 6.8 per cent of the page's ink for this code, against 0.0 per cent off-axis on 0933's plate beside it. The sweep records the lower 0.784 because the fit wanders to rows=4, which puts five slots on a strip the plate gives three and costs cutExtra 0.216; rows is a parameter because the plate itself says the cell count is defined by the user, so it stays searchable. What separates this from 0933 is the extra crossing tucked in at each end: extracted slot centres on the W strip are 0.1105, 0.500 and 0.8895 of its length, where an even division would put them at 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75.
