What is FEFCO 0967?

FEFCO 0967 is a part that goes inside another box — a partition, pad, liner or corner piece — rather than a container in its own right. One strip folded flat back on itself over and over, but wrapped so that half the pad ends up around nine boards thick and the other half around three. The step supports a load that sits at two heights without needing two parts.

Scores 0.300 against p141 and is not expected to score better. The plate draws this pad's fold lines as black dash-dot rather than red, and pdftocairo renders a dash as a separate short stroke, so the drawing arrives as 952 black segments under 3pt and every one is classified as a cut. What survives as red is only the three twin scores in the right-hand 44 per cent, which is why the comparison sees us drawing ten creases where the plate appears to draw six: creaseExtra 0.300 is the binding term, and it is measuring the parser, not the blank. Our eight half-width plies sit at 0.083 of the blank; the plate's dashes sit at 0.080. The detector that would read those dashes as folds was built and measured — it lifts this code to 0.623 and no further, while breaking 0119, 0129 and 0716, three codes that currently match their plates.
