What is FEFCO 0930?

FEFCO 0930 is a part that goes inside another box — a partition, pad, liner or corner piece — rather than a container in its own right. Two notched panels that slot together into a cross, quartering the case. Nothing is folded and nothing is glued — the notches hold it.

Uses

Transit and e-commerce packing, where the box is handled by a carrier
Protecting or separating goods inside a larger case
Jobs where the depth or the fit has to be adjusted after packing
High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement

Advantages

Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
Cut from offcuts or lighter board than the outer case, so it adds little cost

Disadvantages

Needs 2 separate pieces, so there is more than one tool and more than one part to handle
The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical
