FEFCO 0770 Box Template Generator
Tray with webbed corners, open top. A shallow tray whose four walls are cut down to half height across the middle and stay full height only as a post at each corner, with nothing punched through it. Easy to reach into and it still stacks on its corners.
Checked against the plate. This blank has been compared side by side with the drawing in the FEFCO Code, 12th Edition, and matches. That is a statement about the drawing, not a guarantee — always cut and fold a sample before committing to a die.
What is FEFCO 0770?
FEFCO 0770 is delivered glued and flat, and erected by pushing them open — the base forms itself or locks with one movement. A shallow tray whose four walls are cut down to half height across the middle and stay full height only as a post at each corner, with nothing punched through it. Easy to reach into and it still stacks on its corners.
Uses
- High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
Disadvantages
- The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical
Typical industries
- General packing and light manufacturing
Recommended board grades
Single wall B or E flute. The glued joints want a board that takes adhesive well; heavily coated liners can be a problem.
