What is Triangular corner post?
Triangular corner post is a folding carton with a glued side seam, closing at each end with a tuck, a lock or a glued flap. Three panels folding into a closed triangular tube, plus a glue tab. Stands in the corner of a case to carry the stacking load off the contents — the cheapest way to make a weak box stack.
Uses
- Transit and e-commerce packing, where the box is handled by a carrier
- High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
Disadvantages
- The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical

Recommended board grades
Folding boxboard or solid bleached board, typically 250–450 microns. Heavier board for larger cartons, lighter where the carton is filled by machine.
