What is FEFCO 0202?

FEFCO 0202 is cut from one piece, glued or stitched along a single manufacturer’s joint, and shipped flat. Flaps fold in at both ends to close it. Every flap is half of the breadth plus the overlap, so all four deliberately overlap rather than butting together. The extra layer stiffens the top and bottom and suits long, narrow cases where plain half-breadth flaps would gape.

Single wall B or C flute for most shipping. Double wall BC or EB where the load is heavy, the box is large, or it will be stacked several high in a warehouse.

Badged, with the last ambiguity closed by measurement rather than waived. The fit puts every sibling but a few below the 0.90 bar, and those that survive it are separated by FLAP DEPTH AGAINST PANEL WIDTH — the detail FEFCO uses across this family, and the one grant-badges.py names as needing a person. The fitter cannot use it: it rescales x and y independently, and flap depth runs across one axis where panel width runs across the other. Measured in each plate's OWN units, this plate draws 0.567 and our blank draws 0.600, a gap of 0.033. The survivors: 0205 scores 1.000 on the fit and draws 0.683 (2.5x further from ours), 0203 scores 0.995 on the fit and draws 1.024 (12.8x further from ours), 0201 scores 0.979 on the fit and draws 0.513 (2.6x further from ours). Every rival is therefore excluded, which is the bar — not that the score was high. Our own 0.600 against the plate's 0.567 is a real if small difference in the drawing, recorded here rather than smoothed over.
