FEFCO 0401 Box Template Generator
One-piece folder, plain ends. The two long walls fold up and their half-width flaps meet across the top, while the end walls fold up too, each carrying only a short tuck rather than a full lid flap. The simplest folder in the group and the cheapest to cut.

What is FEFCO 0401?
FEFCO 0401 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. The two long walls fold up and their half-width flaps meet across the top, while the end walls fold up too, each carrying only a short tuck rather than a full lid flap. The simplest folder in the group and the cheapest to cut.
Uses
- General packing where a simple, economical board box is wanted
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step
Disadvantages
- Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure

Recommended board grades
Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
