FEFCO 0425 Box Template Generator
Base-locking tray, double walls all round. All four walls fold up and back on themselves, and tabs on every returned inner wall drop through slits in the base. Every face is two boards thick and the whole tray locks square with no glue.
Not yet plate-checked. This template folds, closes and exports cleanly, but its blank has not yet been matched against the standard's own drawing in detail. Treat it as a starting point and check it before you spend anything.
What is FEFCO 0425?
FEFCO 0425 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. All four walls fold up and back on themselves, and tabs on every returned inner wall drop through slits in the base. Every face is two boards thick and the whole tray locks square with no glue.
Uses
- High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
Disadvantages
- The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical

Recommended board grades
Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
