Tray with outfolded corners. The same full-square corners as the infolded tray, but creased to fold outward so the triangular web sits on the outside of the wall. Leaves the inside completely smooth, which matters when the contents are delicate or the tray gets a liner.

What is FEFCO 0448?
FEFCO 0448 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. The same full-square corners as the infolded tray, but creased to fold outward so the triangular web sits on the outside of the wall. Leaves the inside completely smooth, which matters when the contents are delicate or the tray gets a liner.
Uses
- Retail and gift packaging, where the box is seen by the customer
- Protecting or separating goods inside a larger case
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Cut from offcuts or lighter board than the outer case, so it adds little cost
Disadvantages
- No standard style suits every product; check the fit against a sample before committing to a tool

Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
