What is FEFCO 0429?
FEFCO 0429 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. Locking corners, double side walls and a lid that folds over and tucks down the front. Stiff enough to post on its own and it reopens without tearing.
Uses
- Transit and e-commerce packing, where the box is handled by a carrier
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step
Disadvantages
- Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure

Recommended board grades
Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
