What is FEFCO 0426?
FEFCO 0426 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. A tray with one returned wall locking through the base, corner tabs on both end walls, and a lid hinged off the opposite wall — flapped down each side and finished with a front flap whose corners are radiused so it folds over the wall without catching.
Uses
- Retail and gift packaging, where the box is seen by the customer
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step
Disadvantages
- Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure

Recommended board grades
Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
