FEFCO 0457 Box Template Generator
Tray with hooked corners. The side walls run on past the base at each end and finish in a round hook, which folds round the corner and catches an angled notch die-cut into the end wall. No glue, no tape and no corner tab — the hook alone holds the tray square.
Not yet plate-checked. This template folds, closes and exports cleanly, but its blank has not yet been matched against the standard's own drawing in detail. Treat it as a starting point and check it before you spend anything.
What is FEFCO 0457?
FEFCO 0457 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. The side walls run on past the base at each end and finish in a round hook, which folds round the corner and catches an angled notch die-cut into the end wall. No glue, no tape and no corner tab — the hook alone holds the tray square.
Uses
- Retail and gift packaging, where the box is seen by the customer
- High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
Disadvantages
- The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical

Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
