What is FEFCO 0414?
FEFCO 0414 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. The side walls fold back on themselves to full depth and lock into the base on two tabs each, while the end walls carry half-breadth flaps that meet across the top. Corner laps hinge off the end walls and are trapped behind the returned side ply.
Uses
- General packing where a simple, economical board box is wanted
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step
Disadvantages
- Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure

Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
