What is FEFCO 0420?
FEFCO 0420 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. The simplest lidded tray: base, four walls, a lid hinged off the back, and nothing at the corners. Taped or stitched once erected, which keeps the cutting die cheap.
Uses
- General packing where a simple, economical board box is wanted
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
Disadvantages
- No standard style suits every product; check the fit against a sample before committing to a tool

Recommended board grades
Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
