FEFCO 0445 Box Template Generator
Mailer with double end walls and hinged lid. Double-thickness end walls with a lid hinged off the back, so the box is stiff where it gets gripped and still opens flat for packing. A neat middle ground between a plain tray and a full roll-end mailer.
Not yet plate-checked. This template folds, closes and exports cleanly, but its blank has not yet been matched against the standard's own drawing in detail. Treat it as a starting point and check it before you spend anything.
What is FEFCO 0445?
FEFCO 0445 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. Double-thickness end walls with a lid hinged off the back, so the box is stiff where it gets gripped and still opens flat for packing. A neat middle ground between a plain tray and a full roll-end mailer.
Uses
- Transit and e-commerce packing, where the box is handled by a carrier
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
Disadvantages
- No standard style suits every product; check the fit against a sample before committing to a tool

Recommended board grades
Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
