What is FEFCO 0447?

FEFCO 0447 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. A five-panel run — wall, base, wall, top, front wall — where the two rear walls carry shallow end flaps and the top panel carries a deeper one with a second crease and a radiused return that hooks down over the assembled end. The base and the front wall carry nothing.

Uses

• General packing where a simple, economical board box is wanted

Advantages

• Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock

Disadvantages

• No standard style suits every product; check the fit against a sample before committing to a tool

Recommended board grades

Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
