What is FEFCO 0455?
FEFCO 0455 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. The long walls fold back on themselves for stiffness along the faces where a tray bows, and each corner is closed by a plain square lap hanging off the side wall, slit free of the long one.
Uses
- High-volume packing lines, since a pre-glued blank erects in one movement
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Arrives glued and flat, and erects quickly by hand or by machine
Disadvantages
- The glued joint sets the minimum order — short runs are rarely economical

Recommended board grades
Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
