What is FEFCO 0464?
FEFCO 0464 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. A strip tray whose two half-breadth lids meet across the top. Each end flap carries a pair of barbed tabs that drop through slits cut in the base, and the lids carry their own slits so a loaded tray locates into the one below.
Uses
- Retail and gift packaging, where the box is seen by the customer
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step
Disadvantages
- Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure

Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
