FEFCO 0423 Box Template Generator
Double-wall tray with wrapped corners. The front and back walls fold up and back on themselves and lock through the base like 0424, but here the corners belong to the side walls: each runs on past the base and wraps round outside the doubled end, cut back at its tip so the return still closes.

What is FEFCO 0423?
FEFCO 0423 is cut and creased from a single blank that folds up around the product, usually without a glued joint. The front and back walls fold up and back on themselves and lock through the base like 0424, but here the corners belong to the side walls: each runs on past the base and wraps round outside the doubled end, cut back at its tip so the return still closes.
Uses
- General packing where a simple, economical board box is wanted
Advantages
- Cut from a single blank, so there is one tool and one part to stock
- Locks closed without glue or tape, which saves a consumable and a step
Disadvantages
- Hand-locking takes longer per box than a taped or glued closure

Single wall B or E flute. E flute where the outside will be printed, since the finer flute takes a cleaner print and creases more sharply.
